I’m also the under-gardener for The Inelegant Gardener. What was one of the most memorable moments of The Art of Strategy? That GMAT question method really works on such as quantitative strayegy, and already comes intuitively after practise lots of time disit I thought it might work with literature questions, too. I thought this would offer more techniques for strategies one might not know. It is not a textbook or a mathematical treatise.
Excellent presentation of critical principles. But I am not that impressed, the maths is simple and intuitive, not deep enough. The English auction is ov the one we are the most familiar with, participants signal when they wish to make a bid, and the bid rises with time.

In the former case they get the offered split. But was the call really that bad? For that, this is a very good read. I enjoyed Thinking Strategically and looked forward to reading this one. It was fun and just received a pretty good result.
It is game theory explained in an accessible way. This is a wonderful read for people interested in game theory. Examples include incentives and threats. The book went over the basics of game theory, gave general guidelines on how to use it and then went over its applications in the real world.
A person of average reputation defensively refutes accusations against his character, while a highly respected person finds it demeaning to dignify accusations with a response.
Game theory book impractical and unrealistic. I cannot comment on this and will have to ask the person I am giving the recording to for his advice in due time – I am sure he would agree if I was to imagine myself as a 22 year old again that ALL the lessons within his book are crucial and nothing should be cut out.
What do great poker players know that you don’t? Principle 5 means in situations where your win means someone else’s loss and vice versa, just mix up your strategy to try to get a good result.

Some obvious things explained in a very complex way almost impossible to understand without a visual guide. Download the accompanying reference guide.
It’s informative because it provides you with some basic principles for how to reason properly in situations where you have to coordinate or compete with other people, your self, or a company or something equally abstract; ‘game theory’ is just a fancy name for principled strategic interaction.
